Maurice Foster is a professional association
executive and attorney with over twenty-seven years
of career experience in executive management. He
was executive director of three renowned national
professional membership organizations and has 20
years of program development and management
experience at the National Bar Association.


He is skilled at directing consistent achievement of financial objectives, program development
and administrative goals for professional organizations. He is principal in the M Foster Consulting Group where his client services expand a broad array of industries beyond nonprofits, including film production and commercial real estate development. His success and heartfelt endeavors continue as he provides services to a clientele of corporations, foundations and non-profits.

Foster’s executive leadership experience includes Executive Director and General Counsel of MegaMind Media (“MegaMind”), an American film production company. With over 140 book titles, MegaMind is the fastest growing film company specializing in books to film adaptations and original television programming. Foster was Executive Director of National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) 2010-2014, which represents American journalist of color working in television, online, newspapers, magazines, and public relations.

Every event convened during his tenure was a financial success as proven by the revenue surplus left behind after retiring the association’s prior years of debt. He was Executive Director of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE). The organization represents chiefs of police and law enforcement executives. Foster was Deputy Executive Director of the National Bar Association (NBA) where he helped grow the organization from 1986 – 2010.

Foster is a Speaker/Trainer in nonprofit management and fund development. He convenes a workshop training series in nonprofit management and fund development: Developing Effective Strategies For Nonprofit Fund Development, Role Of The Board And Executive Director In Effective Fundraising, and A Short Guide On How To Fundraise As CEO. He was an International Consultant on Comparative analysis study of East Africa Judicial Systems, Johannesburg, South Africa . Foster also spearheaded the largest multi-million dollar donation of online legal research service to the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) and United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Foster is the recipient of numerous awards and honors throughout his career. Partial listings are:
